Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology

Registered Nurse (IR/Cath Lab)

Local BR differs! Traveler will be an IR RN and will be partly in a recovery room with patients from deep organ biopsies and angio cases. Required: CA RN, BLS, ACLS, varied call nights/weekends, rotating weekends, at least 3 years experience, experience with recovery on deep organ and angio cases highly preferred (PACU experience). IR/Cath Lab experience preferred. IR RN: 5x8s shifts, 0930-1800, no call, no weekends. 3-5 years recent relevant experience. Operates complex stationary and mobile diagnostic equipment. Ensures that routine and priority tasks are completed within established departmental time frames. Prepares for and assists physicians in a variety of diagnostic and/or guidance imaging during invasive procedures. Explains and educates the patient on the procedure, medications or contrast media, and any associated biological effects in a clear and professional manner to alleviate fear and anxiety.
