JOB SUMMARY: They are responsible for completing the daily production schedule and ensuring optimal quality for all work completed.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

o    Work directly with operator on technical improvements and efficiency

o    Provide constant support where needed

o    Accountable for good attendance and punctuality

o    Inform management of quality issues and problems in department

o    Assist with in-process inspection company-wide

o    Complete job travelers

o    Processing Competencies: Rack, De-Rack, Etch, Chem Film, Anodize (Type I, II, III, 1C)

o    Inspection Competencies: Thickness gage, Micrometer (ID, OD), Bore gage, and Caliper

• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Receiving Inspection: Count, Visual Inspection, Completion of Previous Operations, etc.
• Maintain a clean and organized department (daily)
• Process parts in accordance with customer requirements, procedures, work instructions, and job traveler with a high level of quality to achieve part conformity
• Complete orders in accordance with the production schedule
• Complete all necessary processing paperwork with accuracy
• Ensure 100% quality and on-time delivery for customer orders
• Perform in-process inspections
• Participate in corrective actions and support troubleshooting of discrepancies
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Work overtime/ weekends as needed to support customer needs

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

o    Ability to read and write English

o    Legible handwriting

o    Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously

o    Basic sketch and blueprint reading skills

o    Use inspection equipment (calipers, micrometer, mechanical gages, x-ray, and thickness gages)

o    Detail-oriented

o    Team player

o    Positive, can-do attitude with excellent attendance and punctuality

o    Must be able to work independently with little supervision after completion of the training period

o    Basic understanding of Lean skills and efficiency methods

o    Excellent communication skills

o    Basic computer skills

o    Basic mathematical skills

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

o    Bilingual (English/Spanish)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

o    Ability to stand and/or walk on your feet for extended periods of time

o    Must pass a drug test and criminal background check

o    Ability to lift and move 50 pounds without mechanical assistance

 

EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

o    On-the-job training
