Job Title

Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 34-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Perform telemetry interpretation and continuous cardiac monitoring for cardiac, neurological, and progressive care patients
• Manage vasoactive drips, chest tubes, high-flow oxygen therapy, BiPAP, and CPAP within PCU/IMC scope
• Care for post-cardiac procedure patients and participate in rapid response events
• Conduct bedside shift reports, hourly rounding, and uphold patient-centered care standards
• Document accurately using EPIC and collaborate with charge nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and dedicated telemetry monitoring support

Required Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of PCU, IMC, or Step-Down nursing experience
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and time management in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with TEE and cardioversion procedures
• Familiarity with Alaris IV infusion pumps and PCA pump management
• Prior experience with EPIC electronic health records documentation
• Background in a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center, or Level II Trauma Center environment
