Physical Therapist (PT) – Acute Rehabilitation

Location: California

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Physical Therapist (PT) for an Acute Rehabilitation setting in California. The ideal candidate will have strong experience treating neurological patient populations and providing comprehensive rehabilitative care designed to improve mobility, reduce pain, increase strength, and restore functional independence following illness or injury.

Required Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapist License
• AHA BLS Certification (must be in hand at submission)
• Acute Rehabilitation experience required
• Neurological rehabilitation experience required

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
• Assess, plan, organize, and implement rehabilitative therapy programs
• Improve patient mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence
• Treat patients with neurological and other complex rehabilitative diagnoses
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding therapy goals and home exercise programs
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Provide clinical supervision to therapy assistants and aides
• Serve as a clinical instructor for assigned students when applicable
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, policies, and safety standards
