As an Avionics Design Engineer, you will support the development of Avionics Packages for multiple target Reentry Vehicles and Electrical Support Equipment.Key activities you will accomplish in this role:Work on a cross-functional team in the development and integration of world class avionics systems.Develop and support electrical system designs for flight vehicles.Provide technical oversight of system electrical/electronics products and subsystems..Perform avionics component selection and support trade studies for avionics selection.Perform electrical reviews and analyses for existing and new designs.Provide support to system level testing, troubleshooting and resolution of test anomaliesGenerate, review and present Avionics Product CertificationsTo be effective in this role, you will need:Experience with selection of electronics/avionics components (trade studies, etc.)Experience in hardware troubleshooting with focus on determining root cause and corrective actionBS or higher or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or related field5+ years professional experience.Must have an active DoD Secret clearance, thus you are a US Citizen.The information below reflects the standard job description for this position:​Researches, designs, develops, and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment.Basic QualificationsBS or higher in Electrical Engineering or related fieldExperience in electronics/avionics system design for tactical or flight applicationsExperience with selection of electronics/avionics components (trade studies, etc.)Significant experience in methodical hardware troubleshooting with focus on determining root cause and corrective actionExperience working with electronics/avionics suppliers on design and troubleshootingAbility to prepare and present technical review and troubleshooting data to program leadership and customerDesired SkillsExperience providing electrical/electronic support for production and test activitiesExperience with radio frequency (RF) design and testingExperience with in-flight or other telemetry systemsLockheed Martin Material Review Board certification or equivalent highly desiredLockheed Martin Certified Principal Engineer experience and current training highly desiredExperience supporting supplier hardware qualification, especially for flight environmentsPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
