Job Goal: Seeking an Occupational Therapist and a Physical Therapist to provide services during the Summer Extended School Year Program. OT’s will provide direct service and consultation in either a substantially separate program or a Learning Center. PT’s will provide direct service and consultation in either a substantially separate program or a Learning Center. We offer programming, services and instruction for grades PK‑Post HS. Through the interview process, you will discuss your preferences for teaching environment and grades. Qualifications Education: Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy / Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree or Master’s in Physical Therapy Professional Certification: Occupational Therapy Registered (OTR) / Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Specialized Knowledge: Thorough understanding of and commitment to the principles and practices of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice as they relate to student, staff, and community engagement and cultivation. Education in Pediatric Occupational Therapy / Education in Pediatric Physical Therapy. Preferred Experience: Experience with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Classroom, etc.) and PowerSchool preferred, but will train the right candidate. Pediatric clinical experience in any environment (school, private practice, etc.). Skills: Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed. Bilingual skills, especially in Spanish and Portuguese, are highly desirable. Passion for working with students, families, and colleagues. Flexibility and collaboration. Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, supportive environment that nurtures student growth. Organization and ability to meet ongoing, time‑sensitive deadlines for work production. Creativity in developing OT/PT session plans and engaging implementation. Such alternatives to the above qualifications are possible as the Superintendent may find appropriate and in conformity with state certification requirements. Tools and Equipment Used: Phone, intercom, personal computer and software applications, scanner, copy machine, calculator, camera, printers and fax machine.
