Associate Media Planner

Job Description OVERVIEW OF JOB FUNCTION: \n \n The Associate Media Planner is responsible for scheduling several of our full-time channels, profitably. In addition to scheduling, they analyze results and make appropriate revisions to each schedule to optimize profitability on a regular basis. \n \n It’s expected that they build and manage strong relationships with all contacts. The media team has many moving parts and each member is cross-trained in more than just their specific duties. This position will be no different. \n \n RESPONSIBILITIES: \n \n The primary function of an Associate Media Planner is to ensure all media purchased is scheduled to run accurately and is scheduled to hit maximum profitability, based on the analyzed data. \n \n \n Traffic –work closely with the operations department to confirm data is accurate and tapes/files are encoded and delivered in a timely manner. \n \n \n \n Reporting –analyzing reports daily to better understand and meet performance and clearance expectations of clients. \n \n \n \n Analysis – it is the planners responsibility to understand the sourcing process to research any issues that look to be impacting results, i.e. no data for a media buy or major variations from typical response. \n \n \n MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: \n \n \n Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field of study preferred, not required \n Must be able to enter data accurately \n Must be a detail-oriented person \n Must be able to work well with others as well as individually \n Highly motivated to assist others on the team \n Capable of multitasking \n Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint \n Must have strong initiative, excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, communication/rapport building, tenacity, and a pro-active entrepreneurial spirit \n \n \n COMPETENCIES: (for internal use only) \n Expertise and Counsel: \n \n Demonstrates understanding of own function area (Media, Creative, HR, Finance, etc.) \n Utilizes and promotes own expertise as appropriate to achieve team goals \n Demonstrates professionalism and generosity when interacting with team, clients and colleagues \n Exhibits sound technical, analytical, project management, communication and problem-solving skills \n Seeks learning opportunities to expand expertise and build on industry knowledge \n \n \n Client Focus: \n \n Actively seeks knowledge of clients’ business, industry and goals \n Client interaction is responsive, flexible and solution-oriented \n Client work is characterized by integrity, confidentiality and good judgment \n Accountable for delivery on assigned projects \n Contributes to outstanding client experience \n \n \n Talent and Leadership: \n \n Actively seeks feedback and opportunities for own development \n Operates at the highest professional and ethical standards \n Participates in office and agency initiatives and activities \n Responds proactively to team requirements and collaborates effectively \n Builds productive and positive relationships with colleagues across departments, offices and specialties \n Provides objective, constructive, honest feedback when asked \n \n \n Driving Growth & Transformation: \n \n Exhibits an entrepreneurial mindset, recommending new ideas and ways of working \n Supports agency and client growth initiatives and goals \n Demonstrates openness and adaptability to change \n Embraces new ideas from all sources \n Resilient in the face of setbacks; explores innovative approaches to resolve challenges \n \n \n Business Management: \n \n Uses systems to capture business-critical information in an accurate and timely manner \n Understands how Edge makes money and how individual contributions impact company success \n Demonstrates fiscal responsibility for client and Edge budgets \n Adheres to financial controls and policies \n Meets billability goals where appropriate \n \n \n WHO WE ARE \n \n Revenue Frontier is a full-service performance marketing agency specializing in Guaranteed Results Media.
