Forklift Operator

Forklift OperatorWe are looking for a motivated and reliable Forklift Operator to support our warehouse operation. In this role, you will safely operate a forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in the facility. You are responsible for following safety regulations, keeping accurate inventory records, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The core hours for this position are 2:30PM - 11:00PM, M-F with some flexibility to troubleshoot issues on the weekends.Essential functions include:Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and proceduresDemonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelinesTransport finished jobs or goods into correct areasMove pallets of goods for jobs in process to appropriate area as neededPlace finished goods which are on a designated pallet to the correct locationAccurately complete forklift operator's checklistNotify supervisor of any mechanical or material issuesConfer with managers to ensure coordination of other production linesOccasionally conduct a physical inventory of all corrugated materials by performing cycle countsPerform inventory audits on a daily basis or as neededMaintain a clean and safe work area by moving empty pallets to a designated area, and by keeping neat, orderly and safe stacks of stock in storage areasMaintain accurate location of stock in storage area by paperwork and computerAdhere to daily production schedule, and make recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, delivery and service goalsAssist other forklift operators as necessaryComplete necessary reports and paperwork in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality DataAssist supervisors on the production floor to maintain a safe work environmentPerform all functions accurately as required in our WMS systemPerform other duties as assigned by management/supervisorsThe anticipated hourly range for the position is $16.50 - $22.00, depending on experience and qualifications.This position is also eligible for a success share bonus and benefits packageQualifications:Forklift License requiredHigh School diploma or equivalent desiredPrior work experience as a forklift operator requiredPrior work experience in the corrugated industry preferredExperience or training in the field of shipping, receiving or warehouse operations with some leadership responsibilities preferred.Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the businessAbility to work on a rotating shift as neededAbility to effectively work in teamsAbility to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and peopleAbility to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of rolesAble to read a tape measure with speed and accuracyAble to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rateAble to apply concepts of high school mathAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or graphic formAbility to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situationsEquipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operationAbility to consistently produce at a high levelAbility to work with plant management for required resultsAbility to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the jobAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to push, pull, lift up to 25 to 50 lbs.Menasha Corporation and its subsidiaries and affiliates are equal opportunity employers.
