Staff Radiologic Technologist (Part-time) - Bone & Mineral Diseases

Position Summary Position performs diagnostic radiographic examinations, applying principles of radiation protection and principles of effective patient care. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities Performs radiographic examinations per scanning protocols, correlating patient history with examination and presents study to physician for examination while adhering to patient schedules. Assists physicians with procedures, obtains necessary supplies and equipment and monitors patient needs while assisting physician with patient support. Enhances own professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and conferences. Maintains documentation as requires, including patient files, performs data entry and completes paperwork needed for procedures/processes. Develops film through automatic processing, monitoring darkroom supplies. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Assists with maintaining supplies. Certifications/Professional Licenses Basic Life Support - American Heart Association Basic Life Support - American Red Cross Radiography (R) Certification and Registration - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Work Experience No specific work experience is required for this position. Skills Not Applicable Driver's License A driver's license is not required for this position. More About This Job Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) or accredited radiography program. Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date. Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements). Preferred Qualifications No additional education unless stated elsewhere in the job posting. Grade C11-H Salary Range $27.00 - $41.87 / Hourly. The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
