A growing full-service restaurant group is seeking a hands-on Regional Chef to oversee culinary execution and develop kitchen leadership across multiple New England locations.
Based in the Boston area , this role will support restaurants throughout the region, including Hartford, CT, and Burlington, VT.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain consistent execution of recipes, plating, portions, prep, food safety, and sanitation standards.
- Conduct regular kitchen audits and partner with Chefs and GMs to close performance gaps.
- Coach, mentor, and develop Chefs and Sous Chefs while building a strong internal leadership pipeline.
- Work alongside restaurant teams during service to improve execution, efficiency, and shift leadership.
- Teach and manage food cost, labor, inventory, waste, and variance performance.
- Partner with the Area Director and VP of Culinary on operational priorities, systems, and process improvements.
- Support menu rollouts and ensure consistent execution across all locations.
- Provide hands-on support and fill in as a Chef when needed.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience, including 2+ years as a Chef in a high-volume scratch kitchen.
- Multi-unit experience strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to develop and promote culinary talent.
- Strong understanding of food cost, labor, inventory, and kitchen operations.
- ServSafe Manager certification required.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Restaurant365 or similar back-office experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the region, including Boston, Hartford, and Burlington .
- Ability to work some nights, weekends, and holidays.
