Work Environment\n

This position is set within our Community Health Clinic, a supportive and inclusive environment designed for seamless collaboration between diverse health professionals. You will engage in a remote work setting, providing flexibility while ensuring quality care delivery. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday, with standard hours of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, along with occasional evening shifts based on client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health and substance use issues, focusing on the identification of co-occurring disorders and their implications for treatment.

• Collaborate actively with clients to create personalized treatment plans that address both mental health and substance use challenges, utilizing a range of evidence-based interventions and frameworks.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that cultivate coping skills, effective relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation techniques, equipping clients to navigate their recovery journey.

• Work in tandem with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care, ensuring that treatment strategies are effectively integrated and tailored to each client’s experience.

• Implement regular substance use monitoring and employ motivational interviewing techniques to engage clients, providing them with encouragement and support throughout their treatment journey.

• Educate clients and their families about the complexities of mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of treatment compliance in achieving recovery goals.

• Document treatment progress, interventions, and referrals meticulously, adhering to the highest ethical and legal standards for client confidentiality.

• Participate in case conferences, staff training, and professional development sessions aimed at enhancing your skills and knowledge in the treatment of co-occurring disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will focus on supporting a diverse range of clients, including those facing chronic mental health issues coupled with substance use disorders. Many clients may have experienced trauma or complex life circumstances, requiring a compassionate and informed approach to therapy. Your work will help break the cycle of co-occurring disorders, leading to improved life outcomes and holistic well-being for these individuals.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Colorado.
\n
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies specifically designed for co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A deep understanding of the interaction between mental health and substance use disorders, with the ability to communicate this effectively to clients.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills that foster collaboration and communication within the interdisciplinary treatment team.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience working directly with clients experiencing co-occurring disorders.

• Background in integrated care models and a strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits\n
