About The Role We are currently seeking a Learning Facilitator to join our Additional Learning Support department at The Bedford College Group. Study Skills Support - Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with identified Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities, helping to develop study, literacy and numeracy skills. Learning Resources & Assistive Technology - Develop and maintain accessible learning resources and assistive technologies to meet individual student needs and support effective learning. Assessment & Progress Monitoring - Administer, mark and invigilate assessments, working closely with curriculum teams to monitor student progress, attendance and ongoing support requirements. Record Keeping & Service Development - Maintain accurate student records, support documentation and statistical information, while identifying opportunities to improve Learning Facilitator services and practices. Collaboration, Safeguarding & College Responsibilities - Work collaboratively with curriculum staff and managers, support College events and uphold responsibilities for safeguarding, equality and diversity, health and safety, and continued professional development. About You Qualifications & Training - Level 3 education with GCSE/Level 2 Maths and English, alongside relevant education and training qualifications, with additional specialist SLDD, BSL, IT, First Aid and safeguarding qualifications desirable or relevant. Learning Support Experience - Experience supporting individuals with a range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities, including delivering English, maths and study skills support on a one-to-one or small-group basis across different ages and abilities. Communication & Organisation - Strong communication, administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records, meet deadlines, use Microsoft applications and work confidently using initiative. Inclusive & Collaborative Working - A sensitive and supportive approach to individual needs, with the ability to build positive working relationships, work effectively within a team and promote equality, diversity and the College’s values. Safeguarding, Flexibility & Mobility - Strong awareness of safeguarding, professional boundaries and health and safety, with a flexible and adaptable approach, willingness to undertake further development and the ability to travel between College locations.
