The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Hart seeking Shipping & Receiving Clerks who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments, including labeling and completing required documentation.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts or other material handling equipment.
- Maintain organized inventory in the warehouse, including proper storage and rotation of materials.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory processes.
- Operate shipping software and maintain accurate shipping and receiving logs.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehousing, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Proficient in using ERP systems and inventory management software
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle
- Forklift certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant)
- Proficiency in using barcode scanners and inventory management software
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen)
- Basic computer skills beyond data entry (e.g., Microsoft Excel for simple tracking)
