Clinical Research Coordinator - Future Opportunities

Position Summary
The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) supports the coordination and implementation of clinical research studies and works closely with investigators, research staff, study participants, sponsors, and other stakeholders. Responsibilities may vary depending on the specific research study and may include participant recruitment and screening, study visits, data and specimen collection, regulatory activities, study documentation, and coordination of day-to-day research activities.

Job Functions

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate and facilitate clinical research study activities in accordance with study protocols, applicable regulations, and organizational requirements.
• Identify, recruit, screen, and enroll potential research participants in accordance with approved study protocols.
• Coordinate participant visits, follow-up activities, and study-related education.
• Collect, record, maintain, and verify research data and study documentation.
• Perform or coordinate study-related procedures, which may include vital signs, phlebotomy, specimen collection, processing, storage, and shipping, depending on study requirements, position requirements, and individual qualifications.
• Maintain study records and assist with regulatory documentation, reports, and correspondence.
• Monitor study activities, timelines, and participant follow-up to support protocol compliance and study objectives.
• Assist with the identification, documentation, and reporting of adverse events and other reportable events in accordance with applicable protocols and requirements.
• Communicate and collaborate with investigators, research staff, sponsors, contract research organizations, regulatory personnel, and other stakeholders.
• Assist with study initiation, monitoring, audits, closeout activities, and other research-related activities as applicable.
• Ensure compliance with applicable research, privacy, safety, and healthcare requirements.
• Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's or Master's degree in a science, public health, healthcare, business, or a related field preferred.

Qualified candidates will possess one of the following combinations of education and research experience:

• High school diploma or GED with 5 or more years of relevant research experience;
• Bachelor's degree with 2 or more years of relevant research experience; or
• Master's degree with 1 or more years of relevant research experience.

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered, depending on the requirements of the position.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn research-related databases and technology platforms.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary research team.
• Ability to interact professionally and effectively with research participants, investigators, research staff, and other stakeholders.
• Experience with clinical research activities such as participant recruitment, regulatory documentation, study procedures, data collection, database management, or biological specimen collection and processing is preferred.
• Ability to complete study-specific training and perform assigned responsibilities in accordance with applicable protocols and requirements.

Certifications:
Clinical research certification, such as Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP), is preferred but not required unless specified for a particular opportunity.
