Sanitation Technician

Location: Springfield, OH

Pay: $16.36
Shift: 3rd Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking a Sanitation Technician to clean and sanitize assigned areas of a food production facility. This position involves working with chemicals, cleaning production areas, and disassembling and reassembling equipment while following established sanitation and food safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned production areas according to established procedures.

• Safely work with cleaning and sanitation chemicals.

• Disassemble and reassemble production equipment for cleaning.

• Perform duties that require repeated climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting throughout the shift.

• Work independently with limited supervision.

• Follow all safety, sanitation, food safety, and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures.

• Help maintain the integrity and continued operation of the facility's food safety system.

• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

• Ability to follow established safety and sanitation procedures.

• Must be able to pass an independently administered drug screen.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to repeatedly climb, push, and pull throughout the shift.

• Ability to work in a cold environment, approximately 34–35&degree;F on the plant floor.

• Ability to work overtime, including weekends, as required.
