The Role

As a Property & Casualty Senior Actuarial Analyst, you’ll join collaborative project teams delivering reserve studies, capital management initiatives and pricing analyses for our insurance company and self-insured clients. You’ll apply actuarial expertise, advanced analytics and leading technology to help clients make confident, data-driven decisions. 

Working across engagements in Bermuda, Canada and United States, Senior Actuarial Analysts: 

• Build expertise in capital modeling and portfolio management using Igloo, our fit-for-purpose, market-leading technology. 
• Develop proficiency in financial assessment of insurance-linked securities using ILSE, our market-leading enterprise technology.
• Collaborate with colleagues on pricing engagements designed to drive client growth and profitability. Apply traditional actuarial methods and advanced predictive modeling techniques to evaluate rate adequacy and design best-in-class rating structures using generalized linear models (GLMs), gradient boosting machines (GBMs) and market data; support rate filings; and expand your technology capabilities through our Radar solutions.
• Contribute to reserving engagements focused on financial strength and reserve adequacy. Estimate future claim payments for past policies using loss development and claims data; apply machine-led reserving approaches and AI-enhanced actuarial methodologies; support financial and regulatory reporting; and build advanced capabilities in ResQ AI.
• Help deliver IFRS 17 engagements focused on financial reporting transformation. Develop insurance contract liabilities automated reporting solutions using analytics and AI-enabled technologies, support financial statement preparation, and help insurers modernize their actuarial reporting processes.
• Support benchmarking initiatives that evaluate pricing strategy and operational processes across insurers’ actuarial functions, helping identify opportunities to strengthen performance.

Qualifications

Must Haves

• Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, statistics or quantitative discipline. 
• 2 to 5 years of experience in actuarial roles.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Working knowledge of AI tools.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Well organized and detail oriented.
• Client service orientation and commitment to ethics in business.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills that include the ability to draw conclusions and identify trends from data in a logical, systematic way.
• Ability to work both independently and on client teams and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
• Actuarial exam progress toward ACAS and/or FCAS credentials
• Knowledge of Emblem, Python, R, Radar Base, ResQ and Igloo

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role.

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $80,000-120,000 USD annually. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
