Senior Tax ManagerDue to continuing growth, our team is seeking a Senior Tax Manager who has an entrepreneurial spirit and knows how to get things done. This individual will play a critical role in driving growth, mentoring employees, and upholding the firm's standards of excellence. In addition to the traditional roll-up your sleeves tax review and client advisory, the role requires a strong sense of entrepreneurship, strategy, and management. We rely heavily on our local leadership team in each office to develop and execute the firm's vision.This is an in-office/hybrid role in our Naperville, IL office - Midwest Advisors.Platform Accounting Group is a rapidly growing professional services firm providing tax, accounting, assurance, IT consulting, and wealth management services to small and medium sized businesses and their owners. We currently have 50+ offices across 15 States with much more growth on the horizon. Enjoy a professional and dynamic work environment while making work/life balance a priority.What you will do:Work with and support the firm's Director in leading and managing the local teamBecome a primary point of contact for clients from retiring partnersServe as the primary point of contact and relationship manager for new clientsWork with the firm's executive team and Director to develop and execute the firm's growth initiatives, product, and services offering and operational strategiesReview and manage individual, business (c-corps, s-corps, and partnerships) and trust tax return engagementsLead firm's consulting and advisory efforts in the regionLead and manage staff in areas of research, training, and developmentWhat we look for:7 - 12 years of experience preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, partnership and estate tax returnsBachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferredCPA or EA certification requiredDirect experience managing staff and client relationshipsExcellent communication and attention management skillsProprietor mentality and work ethicEntrepreneurial minded with an interest in strategy and operationsWhat we offer:Market-leading base compensationPaid medical benefits and 401(k)Autonomy to lead and manage the office in a way that promotes overall wellness for yourself and employeesThe expected salary range for this role is $120,000 - $200,000 per year, which represents a good faith and reasonable estimate. Compensation decisions depend on numerous factors including bona fide qualifications and the facts and circumstances of each case at the time of hiring. Relevant qualifications include, but are not limited to employee education, training, skillset, credentials/certifications, relevant work experience, geographic work location (including if the employee will be hybrid or fully in-office), the scope and responsibilities of the role, internal level and peer equity, and market considerations.Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
