Handyman / Facilities Maintenance Technician

Kreider Farms is seeking a dependable, hands-on Handyman / Facilities Maintenance Technician to help maintain and improve our facilities, equipment, and property. We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with their hands. This is a perfect job for a “jack-of-all-trades” that has the skills to be a trim/finish carpenter but wants some variety in the work they do.

Responsibilities

Perform general repairs and maintenance on buildings and facilities
Complete carpentry, plumbing, painting, drywall, and basic electrical work
Troubleshoot and repair maintenance issues as they arise
Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections
Assist with upkeep of grounds and property
Proficient in operating hand and power tools safely
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner – sometimes on “off” hours
Support facility projects and improvements as needed

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in carpentry, general construction, facilities maintenance, or a related field
Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various conditions
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record required
Experience operating heavy equipment, and driving large trucks preferred
Ability to pass background check and/or MVR
