Exciting Opportunity for a Radiation Therapist!

Job Description:


- Shift: 8H Days, 4 days (32 hours), typically M-Th
- Location: Radius Rule: 50 miles from the facility
- Candidate Criteria:
- Must not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit.


- Fingernail Policy:
- Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care.
- Refusal to remove nails may lead to termination of contract.

- Required Certification:
- ARRT(T) Radiation Therapist
- Completion of a JRCERT accredited Radiation Therapy Program.

- Preferred Experience:
- Varian True Beam experience.

- Driver's License:
- Required at submittal; used to determine eligibility based on location.

- Department Details:
- Radiation Therapy Department

- Job Duties:
- Administer radiation to patients.
- Perform CT simulations.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Must Have Skills:
- Proficient in administering radiation therapy and CT.
- Excellent patient interaction and communication skills.

- Average Patient Load:
- Approximately 10 patients treated per day.

- Software/EMR:
- Mosaiq/Epic

- Department Specific Equipment:
- Varian True Beam, CT Scanner

- Supervisor:
- Dana Welsh

- Cancellation Policy:
- Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment; 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks.

- Charting System:
- EPIC

- Required Certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
- Certified Radiation Therapist - ARRT (T)

- Guaranteed Hours:
- 32 hours per week

- Contract Duration:
- 91 weeks
