Project Engineer

National Oilwell Varco, L.P. is seeking a Project Engineer for the Hydra Rig product line. Based in Fort Worth, the engineer will design mechanical and structural systems, lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, and collaborate closely with sales, manufacturing, project management, and purchasing to ensure customer specifications are met and projects are delivered on schedule and to Hydra Rig’s engineering standards.Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or related field).Minimum 6 years of experience designing mechanical systems.Proven structural design experience.Strong communication and leadership abilities.Working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical design principles.Familiarity with standard manufacturing processes and practices.Proficiency in SolidWorks is desirable.Finite Element Analysis using Ansys Mechanical is highly desirable.Strong electrical design experience is preferred.Professional Engineering Licensure is desired.Occasional travel to work sites may be required.Ability to develop schedules and manage project timelines.Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams (sales, manufacturing, purchasing).Commitment to safety, environmental standards, and corporate policies.COMPETITIVE BENEFITS:(visit usbenefits.nov.com for more information about our benefits offerings)401(k) Retirement Plan – NOV matches every dollar up to 5% of base pay and overtime for every dollar you invest.Competitive medical plans that are effective your date of hire.
