Seeking a skilled Mason with experience in block, brick, and stone work, with a focus on block laying. This full time role offers steady, year round work throughout Los Angeles County. Ideal candidates are dependable, safety minded, and take pride in quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Lay block, brick, and stone to project specifications.
• Build retaining walls, footings, and masonry forms.
• Tie rebar and assist with reinforcement installation.
• Install veneer and decorative masonry finishes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and layouts.
• Ensure work is level, plumb, and properly aligned.
• Maintain a safe and organized job site.
• Work collaboratively to complete projects on schedule.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of masonry experience preferred.
• Proficiency in block, brick, and stone installation.
• Ability to read construction plans and blueprints.
• Experience with rebar, footings, and basic layout work.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout Los Angeles County.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors.
• Own basic masonry hand tools, including levels, trowel, joiners, and wire reel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Concrete forming and finishing experience.
• Veneer and decorative masonry experience.
• Stone masonry experience.
• OSHA safety knowledge.

Work Environment Outdoor construction sites throughout Los Angeles County. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Power tools are provided; employees supply their own hand tools. Safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship are top priorities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palmdale, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $38.00/hr.
