Growing together.Support the modernization of the FP&A process by helping design, implement, and scale improvements across planning, forecasting, budgeting, management reporting, performance analytics, and decision support. This role is well suited for a high-performing person who brings strong finance, business partnership, and transformation experience.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.Primary Responsibilities:Support shaping and executing the FP&A transformation roadmap across strategic planning, annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, management reporting, and performance analyticsTranslate business, finance, and operating requirements into clear process designs, business requirements, user stories, testing scenarios, and implementation plansPartner with finance, business, technology, and data teams to identify process improvement, automation, and AI-enabled use cases that enhance speed, accuracy, insight generation, and decision supportHelp ensure solutions align with governance, data quality, model transparency, and appropriate financial controls while supporting management insight and business accountabilityLead workstreams for design, testing, user acceptance, go-live readiness, stakeholder training, and post-implementation stabilization across FP&A processes and toolsDevelop executive-ready materials, status updates, and recommendations for finance and business leaders on planning process improvements and performance insightsServe as a trusted partner to FP&A and business stakeholders by bringing a structured, problem-solving mindset and strong project execution disciplineYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:7+ years of relevant experience, including experience in FP&A, corporate finance, consulting, or finance transformation, with significant exposure to planning, forecasting, business performance, or large-scale process improvementExperience leading cross-functional engagements or transformation initiatives, with the ability to move from issue identification to process redesign, solution development, and implementationProven solid foundation in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, variance analysis, and performance management processes within complex organizationsProven ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and translate complex financial, operational, and process topics into practical business recommendations and decision supportProven interest in finance technology, automation, data-driven planning, and AI-enabled transformation; direct product ownership experience is not required, but curiosity and learning agility are important*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
