Associate Chief Nursing Officer MiraVista Behavioral Health Center located in Holyoke, MA is looking for an experienced inpatient psychiatric nurse to join our growing team as an Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO). The ACNO assists the Chief Nursing Officer in executive‑level management of resources, strategic planning and development of policies and procedures which ensure congruence with the mission and vision of the organization. Responsibilities Collaborate with the CNO to formulate policies and procedures consistent with recognized standards of professional practice and reflective of regulatory standards, while maintaining authority, accountability, and responsibility for nursing services. Design and implement continuous performance improvement initiatives to measure and enhance the quality of care, aligning with organizational priorities. Work collaboratively with other patient care and support departments, fostering open communication and mutual problem‑solving; initiate and participate in joint performance improvement activities. Assist in cost management by identifying opportunities to eliminate non‑value costs, using data‑driven decision making. Assume primary responsibility for assigned projects or task groups, keeping colleagues informed of progress toward desired outcomes. Participate in planning for the design or implementation of renovation or new construction of patient care areas. Collaborate with nursing educators to address identified learning needs and ensure new hires receive proper preparation to become independent practitioners. Develop and maintain close working relationships with physician colleagues and other healthcare providers; collaborate on goal setting and action plans for patient care and system improvements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in nursing, required. Current Registered Nurse license without restrictions, required. Inpatient psychiatric experience, required. 5+ years of experience in management or supervisory nursing role; the most recent 3 of the last 5 years must have been in direct leadership in a hospital or direct patient care environment, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
