This position participates in our compensation program, which provides opportunities for future pay growth based on performance and career development.401(k) with a dollar-for-dollar company match up to 4%Hotel discounts at select Western States Lodging & Management propertiesEligible full-time associates are entitled to the following:Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plans plus Health Savings Account (HSA) optionsOptional supplemental benefits, including accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and other coverage options.Personal Time Off (PTO) and Vacation benefitsWhat You'll DoWelcome residents and guests into the dining room with a friendly, positive attitude.Assist residents and guests with seating and provide menus.Take resident food orders and serve meals in a polished, attentive manner.Communicate with residents throughout their dining experience to ensure they are satisfied with their food and service.Set, clear, and reset dining tables promptly and efficiently.Refill beverages and ensure condiments and other dining supplies are stocked.Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and organization of the dining room.Wipe down tables, chairs, and other dining surfaces as needed.Follow all company food-handling, safety, sanitation, infection control, and loss-prevention procedures.Maintain required hygiene and appearance standards.Communicate positively and professionally with residents, families, supervisors, and coworkers.Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Food Service Director.What Makes You SuccessfulHigh school diploma or equivalent, including those currently working toward completion.0–1 year of experience; previous dining or customer service experience is helpful but not required.Valid Food Handler's Permit or ServeSafe Certification in the state you are applying in, as required by the state.Basic customer service skills and a pleasant, welcoming personality.Patience and willingness to work with and care for older adults and individuals with disabilities.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, structured environment.Strong attention to detail, particularly with table setup, cleanliness, and food service.Ability to follow instructions, company policies, and regulatory requirements.Ability to communicate effectively and positively with residents, families, supervisors, and coworkers.Physical RequirementsFrequent walking and standing throughout the shift.Ability to frequently bend, stoop, sit, stand, and reach.Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 50 pounds using proper body mechanics and lifting techniques.Ability to meet the physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.You Know You're Successful When…Residents feel welcomed, valued, and cared for every time they enter the dining room.
