Senior Account Manager / Team Lead – Commercial Lines Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Account Manager / Team Lead – Commercial Lines to provide exceptional client service and advisory support for a portfolio of commercial accounts while leading a team of Commercial Account Managers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial insurance account management and team leadership, with a focus on building lasting client relationships, mentoring team members, and driving operational excellence. This role offers a potential growth path into a Department Manager position. Responsibilities Lead and support a team of Commercial Account Managers by establishing priorities, creating structured work plans, and providing ongoing guidance and mentorship. Provide training, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members. Manage and service complex commercial insurance accounts. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, producers, and internal stakeholders. Oversee new client onboarding and account renewal processes while advocating for client needs. Identify operational and exposure-related risks and provide appropriate coverage recommendations. Resolve coverage questions, policy concerns, and service issues in a professional and timely manner. Collaborate with agency leadership to support growth initiatives, including account rounding and program development. Serve as a technical resource and liaison between carriers and clients. Maintain and expand industry knowledge through continuing education, professional development, and industry designations. Contribute to the enhancement of agency workflows, processes, and documentation standards. Attend client meetings alongside producers as needed. Adhere to agency procedures, compliance standards, and E&O guidelines. Participate actively in department and company meetings. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license. Minimum of 5 years of commercial insurance account management experience within an agency or risk management environment. Minimum of 2 years of team leadership or supervisory experience. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Analytical problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities. Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Team‑oriented with a positive and collaborative approach. Familiarity with insurance carrier rating systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with agency management software. Compensation Package Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000 annually. Bonus opportunity based on individual and company performance. Flexible work arrangement with hybrid work opportunity.
