BRIEF SUMMARY : Performs echocardiograph procedures. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : See job analysis form. MENTAL REQUIREMENTS : See job analysis form. SCHEDULING AND AVAILABILITY : Routinely scheduled Mon-Fri 0700-1530 except holidays and vacations. On-Call 7 days per week 0700-1900 with a 4 hr response time.
- Prepares and instructs patients for echocardiography.
- Performs echocardiography, obtains necessary images.
- Prepares reports for interpretation by the cardiologist.
- Reviews medical record to identify any significant medical history which may impact the study.
- Reviews echocardiogram data and may confer with appropriate medical personnel.
- Maintains logs of all procedures.
- Maintains supplies.
- Performs echocardiograms procedures with minimum supervision.
- Keeps informed of advances in echocardiography through reading current literature and continuing education.
- Performs other related functions as required.
