Job Title: Step-Down RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2+ years of recent Step-Down experience License: Current Registered Nurse license Certifications: - BLS - ACLS - NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience in cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management - Proficiency in IV start and maintenance - Ability to manage medications and blood product administration - Skills in emergency medications and procedural sedation administration Description: Seeking a Step-Down RN with recent experience to provide high-quality patient care. Patients include those with congestive heart failure, post-heart catheterization, and respiratory failure. The RN will perform frequent vital sign and neurovascular checks. Post-heart cath care and monitoring of vascular procedures are essential duties. The ratio will be 1:4-5 patients per RN. Required skills include cardiac and emergency management. Dysrhythmia interpretation and management are key responsibilities. Experience with 12-lead EKG/ECG is needed. Work involves starting and maintaining IVs, including PICC line management. Proper administration of blood products and medications is necessary. Competency in managing cardiac drips is expected. Knowledge of infection prevention and isolation precautions is essential. Phlebotomy skills are required. This position allows for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Candidates must be committed to providing excellent patient care and safety. All requests for time off must be clearly communicated at initial submission. First-time travelers may be considered based on experience. Return travelers eligible to apply if in good standing.
