Job Description
Years of experience do NOT always matter - looking for SKILLED/TALENTED welders who can truly complete full-layout custom fabrication projects surrounded by top-tier peers at a STATE OF THE ART facility!!!
This role focuses on performing high-quality TIG (heliarc)/MIG (pulse) welding stainless steel and/or carbon steel to produce custom, short-run, prototype equipment for multiple industries (food, industrial, pharmaceutical, aerospace, etc). BRAND NEW FACILITY!!!! Multiple different departments that specialize in various processes and techniques.

- Based on weld test/interview - not just years of experience
Responsibilities
- DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS and LEVELS REQUIRE DIFFFERNT SKILLS SO NOT ALL ARE REQUIRED
- TIG/GTAW and heliarc welding AND/OR GMAW/Pulse welding
- Produce custom, short-run, and prototype equipment to meet detailed design and quality requirements.
- Welding blueprints w/ symbols, drawings, and GD&T specifications to execute accurate welds and fabrications.

- D1.1
- 1G-6G
- 1F-4F
- Layout fabrication
- Follow welding codes and procedures related to ASME Section IX and AWS D1.1
- Support continuous improvement of welding techniques and fabrication methods by learning and applying new skills in the custom shop.

Work Environment
The position is based in a temperature-controlled, custom fabrication shop focused on highest level of products. The atmosphere is laid back in terms of production speed, but expectations for weld quality and precision are high. Hours are structured BUT flexible - family first type environment , providing a consistent schedule. You will work with TIG and MIG welding equipment, wire feed systems, hand tools, and measuring instruments in a setting designed for custom and prototype production.

This is a Permanent position based out of Champlin, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $36.00/hr.
