About the Role:

American Drilling and Sawing Inc is looking for a skilled Structural Welder to join our growing team in Houston, TX. This is a hands-on role where your craftsmanship and precision will directly contribute to high-quality construction and industrial projects. Responsibilities:

• Perform structural welding using MIG, TIG, and/or Stick (SMAW) welding processes on steel and metal components
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication
• Fit, align, and tack weld structural steel assemblies prior to final welding
• Inspect completed welds for quality, integrity, and compliance with project specifications
• Operate cutting tools, grinders, and other fabrication equipment as needed
• Follow all safety protocols including proper use of PPE and adherence to OSHA standards
• Collaborate with project supervisors and crew members to meet project deadlines

Requirements:

• 2+ years of structural welding experience in a construction or industrial environment
• Proficiency in MIG, Stick (SMAW), or flux-core welding processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
• AWS D1.1 Structural Welding certification preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality welds
• Ability to work in various conditions including outdoor job sites and confined spaces
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and a strong team player
