JOB TITLE: Office Receptionist

JOB LOCATION: Office in Denmark WI and Remote support to Marinesco MI

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

HOURS PER WEEK: Full-Time

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

The Office Receptionist is the first point of contact for our guests, whether by phone, email, or in person. You are responsible for creating a positive and welcoming environment and tending to the needs of our buyers and sellers when picking up or dropping off items for auction. Position will offer remote support to our Marinesco MI location.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent

Some office experience preferred

Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license required. Position includes operation of company vehicles; applicants must meet company driving and insurance eligibility requirements

PRIMARY DUTIES

Greet persons entering the establishment, determine the nature and purpose of their visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations

Operate the telephone to answer, screen, or forward calls

Utilize electronic mail and messaging systems to communicate with customers and other employees

Accept payment from customers via cash, check, or credit card

Keep the reception area tidy and stocked with necessary supplies and advertising materials

Monitor inventory of all office supplies and request ordering for items that need replenishing

Perform administrative support tasks such as proofreading, transcribing handwritten information, and working with pay records, invoices, and other documents

Handle contracts and sensitive customer and employee data with strict confidentiality

Sort and distribute mail and deliveries

Assist in the coordination of inventory transfers between locations

Review and categorize photos for upcoming auctions

Leverage modern technology and AI-assisted tools to streamline administrative tasks, communication, and customer service workflows

Travel to off-site auctions as needed to assist in cataloging, open houses, cashiering or load out

May involve periodic outdoor responsibilities and exposure to varying weather and environmental conditions

May work near moving mechanical parts and explosives
