Chief Accountant

What you will do: Take full ownership of end-to-end accounting for foreign legal entities, acting as the main accounting contact within a small SSC environment Perform and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations Prepare local statutory financial statements and support year-end audits for foreign entities Work closely with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) teams, supporting daily operations, resolving issues, and ensuring data quality Cooperate with the Controlling team on management reporting, cost analysis, variances, and budgeting inputs Prepare and review Group reporting packages in line with Group policies and reporting timelines Ensure accuracy of balance sheet and P&L, including regular account reconciliations and variance explanations Monitor compliance with local accounting and tax requirements (VAT, CIT, withholdings), supported by external advisors if required Prepare tax filings (VAT, CIT, other mandatory reports) Handle intercompany transactions and consolidation between subsidiaries Act as a key liaison with external auditors, tax consultants, and local authorities Participate actively in process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives suitable for a small SSC setup Support the development of simple, effective internal controls and accounting procedures Contribute operationally while also providing guidance and knowledge sharing within the SSC team What we are looking for: University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field Experience in accounting, including responsibility for foreign legal entities Proven hands on experience in end to end accounting (GL, AP, AR, month end close) Practical knowledge of Group reporting and cooperation with a parent company (IFRS exposure preferred) Experience working closely with AP, AR, and Controlling teams, ideally in an SSC or lean finance structure Very good understanding of month end close processes, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations Ability to work independently and take ownership in a small team environment Experience in cooperating with external auditors and tax advisors Solid knowledge of local accounting and tax regulations for international entities (VAT, CIT basics) Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a problem-solving mindset Fluent in English and Polish, both written and spoken.
