Software Engineer Intern

During this internship, you will have the opportunity to: Gain hands‑on experience in software engineering by contributing to the development of high‑accuracy calibration systems. Collaborate on software development tasks, including designing and enhancing programs to automate and streamline calibration processes. Analyze and compare specifications, measurement techniques, and performance data for high‑precision devices. Log, save, and chart calibration data to track device stability, drift, and performance trends over time. Summarize and present findings on the stability, accuracy, and reliability of calibration standards, supporting improvements in calibration practices and processes. Duration and Location Duration: 12‑week internship Schedule: Full‑time Assisting in the design and implementation of software for processing calibration systems. Collaborating with engineers to improve DC/Low frequency calibration standards. Conducting tests to validate system performance and ensure compliance with industry standards. Documenting findings, preparing reports, and presenting results to the team. Qualifications Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, data analysis, or a related field. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Familiarity with programming languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB. Basic understanding of software development principles, including object‑oriented programming and version control tools (e.g., Git). Coursework in data structures, algorithms, and operating systems. Willingness to learn about DC/Low frequency applications and calibration systems. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with digital multimeter or calibration equipment is a plus.
