Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Trauma/Acute Care Surgery Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 1st Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Two years of nursing experience License: Current state Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) Must-Have: Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations specific to area of employment. Experienced with CADD pumps (epidural and nerve block pumps). Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population. The Staff RN job description has incorporated essential functions that are adapted from the Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice. The schedule includes urgent backfill for 12-hour day shifts on the weekend. Floating to other areas may be required as needed. If interested in a schedule that does not involve every weekend, a modified rotation with every other weekend can be discussed.
