Registered Nurse (RN) - Perinatal - Night Shift Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality nursing care in a perinatal setting, demonstrating competency in both routine and complex care. This role requires the ability to work independently while managing clinical situations, implementing the nursing process, and addressing the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families. Responsibilities Utilize the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care. Administer medications and treatment protocols as per established guidelines; monitor and document patient responses and side effects. Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers regarding health issues, treatments, and care procedures. Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers to manage the clinical environment effectively. Document patient history, symptoms, and care delivered accurately in patient records. Schedule This position requires a night shift schedule from 7 PM to 7 AM, including four shifts per six-week schedule. It will be a full-time commitment. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred. At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred. Current RN license in the state of Texas or compact state. Current certifications required: AWHONN Intermediate FHM, NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM), BLS, NRP, ACLS (AHA only).
