Job Description
The Lead HVAC Technician plays a critical role in overseeing HVAC system diagnosis, installation, and maintenance while leading a medium-sized team of 4 to 7 technicians. This position ensures high-quality workmanship, enforces safety standards, and manages inventory to support smooth operations within the HVAC department.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues effectively
- Oversee installation projects ensuring compliance with specifications
- Lead and coordinate a team of 4-7 technicians to maximize productivity
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure service excellence
- Manage inventory of HVAC equipment and supplies
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair
Preferred Qualifications
- EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification
- Advanced HVAC system troubleshooting skills
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs
- Proven team leadership abilities
- Expertise in HVAC equipment installation
- Strong customer service skills
- Effective time management capabilities
