Position Summary At CardWorks, we are actively seeking a committed Quality Engineer II to be a crucial asset to our quality engineering team. In this capacity, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain automated tests for both UI and API functionalities. Your role will involve close collaboration with the QA team to ensure these automated tests are integrated effectively into our CI/CD pipelines. Essential Functions Technical – deep experience in integrating a strong software development background with a passion for the discipline of Quality Engineering. Create and maintain automated UI and API tests Write and execute Test Case to ensure development outputs meet defined specification cases in coordination with Business requirements and Technical Specifications Pinpoint and rectify inconsistencies within card program setting controls, ensuring accurate configurations Document software defects using JIRA bug tracking system Be able to use Test Case Management tools such as Zephyr Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution Participate in test case reviews and ensure requirements traceability, proper coverage Perform Exploratory, Functional, Integration, UI, back-end testing, White box/Black box testing. Demonstrate the capacity to investigate and debug complex issues. Methodology – deep expertise and knowledge in Quality Engineering standards, processes, policies, and procedures. Demonstrate and evangelize a passion for process and methodology through daily actions Adhere to and support all established and documented methodology/best practices in alignment with the Release methodologies and processes Adhere to and support group processes, procedures, and standards to drive and guide a repeatable, reliable delivery of high-quality software products and services Display a basic understanding of testing methodology and product knowledge in the design of tests Team Support/Leadership – deep commitment to working in and fostering a highly collaborative, innovative, and high performing product team. Advise, assist, and mentor QE team members with distributed testing responsibilities Evangelize, support, and embody Cardworks’s Company Mission, Strategy and Values Foster a culture of ownership and pride for delivering the highest levels of quality and excellence Assess solution risk and assist the project team in prioritizing testing efforts Skills & Competencies Strong team player with the ability to lead and collaborate with all levels of the organization Ability to influence others and motivate with a positive and confident personal style Possess a drive towards forward progress and delivering results while taking responsibility Multi-tasker with the ability to set and manage priorities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high aptitude to learn Proactively and transparently communicate challenges/successes to leadership Exhibit and relentlessly demonstrate a high level of attention to detail Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to help in other areas as priorities shift Ability to effectively operate with minimal supervision but keeping leadership in the loop Education And Experience 2-4 years UI Test automation experience (e.g., Selenium and Playwright) 2-4 years of hands-on working experience building API automation tests using Karate 2-4 years of hands-on experience with programming/scripting, preferably in languages like Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript 2-4 year’s experience creating XPath queries and functions Knowledge in API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, and similar Basic understanding of RESTful API principles, best practices, and microservices patterns Demonstrate basic SQL programming skills (queries, joins, etc.) Summary Of Qualifications Bachelor’s in computer science (or relevant degree) with 2 years of experience 2-4 years of experience in software testing Preferred Experience using: Credit card processing and payment processing platforms Knowledgeable in testing methodology, design, execution and attaining product knowledge Experience with QA techniques including black box, white box, and gray box approaches for smoke, regression, functional, user acceptance and exploratory testing Experience with the development of use cases, test scenarios and/or test plans Investigating and debugging complex issues Experience with Agile testing Experience using JIRA or another bug tracking tools Experience using Test Case Management tools such as Zephyr Note: This is an onsite role in our Horsham, PA office.
