Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Observation/Sub-Acute unit position at a 325-bed acute care hospital in Washington, requiring Epic proficiency and at least 1 year of RN experience.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 325 staffed beds
• Observation Care unit (3rd floor) serving surgical overnight stays, procedural observation patients, medical observation patients, some medical inpatient, and long length-of-stay patients
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Patient ratios: 1:4 (Days), 1:5 (Nights), 1:5 (Weekends)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• No on-call requirement
• Floating is required between various like units within the traveler's skill set
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or compact RN license — must be active at time of consideration, no pending licenses accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for a travel contract
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must also reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• RTO is accepted but preferred to be kept under 7 days for the duration of the assignment
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
