Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapist Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS Must-Have: - Travel experience - 2-5 years of experience in critical care - RRT license for state requirements - Experience with Respiratory Therapy Driven Protocols Description: The unit has 267 beds and covers ICU, med-surg, and telemetry areas. Common diagnoses include COPD, Asthma, Pneumonia, and Congestive Heart Failure. Duties involve providing breathing treatments, performing ABGs, EKGs, NIV, HFNC therapy, IPV, and PEP/PAP therapy. The hospital has a Clientist available 24/7. Respiratory Therapists are available 24/7. Pharmacy services are also available 24/7. Floating is required to all areas except NICU. Shifts are 12 hours, typically from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Weekend requirements involve working every other weekend. Staff are expected to work most holidays. All staff will wear black scrubs. Block scheduling cannot be accommodated, and schedules are made approximately 3-4 weeks in advance. Two days of floor-specific orientation will be provided. Charge responsibilities fall to the Charge Respiratory Therapist on duty 24/7.
