Job Details Job Title: IP NOS Job Code: 23845 Job Location: Melbourne, FL Job Description TDM Network Operations Specialist (NOS) L3Harris is seeking a TDM Network Control Specialist to support a large nationwide customer. This role is a key member of the Network Operations Control Center (NOCC), supporting a geographically dispersed team across North America. The specialist will serve as the first line of support for troubleshooting and developing solutions for mission-critical programs. Provide technical support for a nationwide network, including monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting network issues using network management tools. Monitor alarm conditions to proactively identify and minimize disruptions to the FAA network, performing root cause analysis to restore services. Utilize test methods to analyze channelized/unchanneled T1, T3, Ethernet, IP, Frame Relay, ATM, WAN, LAN, SONET, and TDM technologies. Assist Local Exchange Carriers (LEC), ILECs, and IXCs in resolving WAN problems and support onsite technicians remotely. This position requires working in a 24x7x365 onsite NOCC environment with rotating shifts and schedule flexibility. Remote work is not permitted due to secure network access. Support short-term emergency evacuations to backup facilities as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Networking, IT, or related field with 2-4 years of experience, or 2 years post-secondary/Associate’s degree with at least 6 years of experience. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in telecommunications network troubleshooting. Additional Skills and Certifications Layer 1 troubleshooting experience. Networking experience across layers 1, 2, and 3. Experience with SONET, TDM, RF, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, HSRP, ATM, and Frame Relay. Familiarity with network management tools such as Cisco Prime, SNMPc, Orion, NetFlow. Experience with UNIX and remote access solutions. Experience with call center phone systems and working with dispersed teams. Certifications like Cisco CCNA are preferred.
