Cardiovascular Sonographer Echo $15,000 sign on bonus

This is a full-time echo tech position for MCE region. Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Position Purpose The Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer is responsible for performing echocardiography and/or vascular diagnostic testing as per accreditation guidelines. Reports preliminary findings for physician interpretation and functions within the organization’s standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines. What You Will Do Review physician orders to ensure correct procedure and correctly identify patients. Patient Care: Perform all studies according to policy, procedures, and standards established by the accrediting body. Report abnormal pathology appropriately, explain procedures to patients, answer patient questions, ensure patient comfort, and assist with patient transport as needed. Documentation: Obtain pertinent health history and enter accurate, complete data in diagnostic testing equipment and documentation system, ensuring accuracy of reports prior to dispatch. Collaboration/Communication: Communicate pertinent patient data to appropriate team members and collaborate with other departments to provide optimum patient care. Equipment Resource Management: Be knowledgeable of all equipment pertinent to the specific area of testing, perform basic troubleshooting, and participate in evaluation of new equipment. Initiative: Take responsibility for personal professional development, maintain registry status or actively pursue registry, and complete annual competencies. Participate in accreditation/re‑accreditation process. Computer Skills: Utilize computers appropriate to areas of testing effectively, including timekeeping system, clinical information systems, and the intranet. Performance Improvement: Assist in development of department monitors and data collection, and participate in PI work groups. Minimum Qualifications Education: Associates or bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred. Licensure/Certification: 1) Registered by ARDMS as RVT or RDCS; 2) Registered by CCI as RCS or RVS; 3) ARDMS or CCI board‑eligible and achieve certification within 12 months of hire. Experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience in cardiovascular imaging preferred. Effective communication skills. BLS certification required.
