Overview Seeking Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join team near Myrtle Beach, SC. The Cardiac Care APP will manage Cardiac Care patients from initial consultation in the inpatient setting, clinical diagnosis and treatment, follow up. The role involves collaboration with Surgical Associates, Vascular Surgeons and Interventional Cardiac Care Physicians, with access to advanced technologies such as the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System for minimally invasive Cardiac Care surgeries and complex cases requiring enhanced precision. Additionally, there are plans to build a hybrid room for state‑of‑the‑art procedures. Responsibilities Outpatient and inpatient role, stress lab Standard office hours (4.5 clinic days): Mon‑Thurs: 8am‑5pm / Fri: 8am‑12pm Protected administrative time (4 hours per week) Patient schedule 20 mins new / 20 mins follow up Call schedule involving collaborative Interventional Cardiac Care and Non‑Invasive physicians (total doctors in groups currently 5, advancing to 7 total) Cover stress lab and clinic Support staff: dedicated team with nurses, front office staff, ultrasound technicians, experienced RNs with Cardiac Care expertise. Support from 3 interventional cardiologists and APP imaging staff. Cerner EMR Patient Population Primarily adults aged 55 and older, including smokers and individuals with peripheral Cardiac Care conditions such as claudication. Community fit: Medical Center has the largest primary care network in the market, serving a growing population that aligns with Cardiac Care needs. Workflow & Referral Process Referral sources: from both within PCP network and outside, processed through Central Scheduling. Ultrasound workflow: 8 out of 10 referrals require an ultrasound before an appointment. These are reviewed by the Cardiac Care surgery team and scheduled by front office staff. Ultrasound scheduling: all ultrasounds conducted at Health Plaza South (3rd floor) on Mondays and Fridays. Post‑ultrasound appointments: after the ultrasound, patients are scheduled for follow‑up at one of two locations. Patient volume: 60‑75 referrals per month. Dynamic Environment All collaborating physicians are board eligible or board certified. The Cardiac Care clinic works closely with a shared collaborative space. Potential cross‑referrals between interventional radiology, cardiac care, and Vascular Care, including procedures in the Cath lab. Hybrid room development: plans to build a hybrid room for minimally invasive procedures as part of the executive facilities strategic plan. Clinic / Facility Facilities: 2‑room Cath lab, 10 operating rooms, 14‑bed Cardiac Monitoring Unit (CMU). Cardiology team: clinic space directly connected to the Cath lab, streamlined workflow. In‑house wound care with hyperbaric chambers supports Cardiac Care and wound care integration. Largest dedicated service space in market provides growth opportunity. Imaging / Diagnostics Equipment: DSA, 256‑slice CT scanner, MRI (3T and 1.5T), and in‑office ultrasound machine. Candidate Parameters Experienced Advanced Practice Provider. Experienced nursing in cardiac care, telemetry and related areas considered for candidates that have not practiced for at least 2 years or more. Compensation & Benefits Sign‑on bonus $5k+.
