Patient Care Coordinator

Job Details Location: Mount Sterling, Kentucky Type: Contract Pay rate: $30/hr. to $33.4/hr. on W2 Responsibilities Provides a high level of customer service to patients, referral sources, and fellow employees. Establishes and maintains positive relationships with patients and referral sources. Obtains, verifies, and accurately enters patient demographic and insurance information. Maintains accurate and complete patient files and documentation in accordance with Company policies and established procedures. Protects the privacy and security of protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA and applicable privacy requirements. Supports patient follow-up activities as directed. Efficiently manages multiple phone lines and responds to patient, referral source, and internal inquiries in a professional and timely manner. Records and maintains clear, concise, accurate, and timely written documentation. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Zero to One Year of customer service, administrative, healthcare, or related experience required. Preferred Requirements Previous experience in a receptionist, patient services, medical office, or healthcare front office environment preferred. Experience working with patient information, insurance verification, scheduling, or electronic medical records is preferred.
