Restaurant Shift Supervisor

Benefits Medical, dental and vision insurance Week of paid vacation Paid Sick Time 401(k) retirement FREE pizza, salad, and beverages Pet insurance Discounted gym membership Free counseling sessions Summary As a Shift Supervisor, you will lead restaurant operations during scheduled shifts and support training for all new hires, program rollouts, and standards in your restaurant. You will be the most senior squad member on the shift, responsible for ensuring the team performs essential tasks, provides outstanding guest experiences, and contributes to smooth restaurant operations. You will support restaurant management, serve as a leader, provide feedback, answer questions, and give guidance. Your objective is to model, teach, and demonstrate MOD’s purpose in all interactions, setting the squad up for success during the shift, training, and as conditions change. Key Responsibilities Ensure the right squad member is in the right place and doing the right work, managing deployment charts and adjusting throughout the day. Train newly hired and promoted squad members and support the team through new program rollouts and initiatives. Maintain operating systems and equipment to meet restaurant goals, including online ordering, catering, fundraising, and customer review systems. Use and reference MOD tools and standards to ensure food safety in both back and front of house. Listen, acknowledge, and try to resolve squad member and/or guest concerns; escalation to AM or GM as needed. Manage cash within the shift accurately, including making change, accessing the safe, and processing refunds. Take inventory and place orders as needed, supported by the GM. Adhere to all opening, mid‑day, and closing shift checklists and use all tools available to execute requirements timely. Regularly review email to stay updated on and communicate information from Slice and other relevant sources to squad members. Required Qualifications Minimum of one (1) year of customer service or restaurant experience. Demonstrated success as a mentor, trainer, or informal leader. Proven ability to prioritize and make decisions. At least 18 years old. Experience following and enforcing processes and standards; correcting and coaching compassionately. Ability to remain calm in high‑volume periods. Food safety certification and/or alcohol beverage certification within 30 days of start date or sooner if required. Proficient in written and oral communication. Availability to support restaurant hours, working a minimum of 3 shifts and 18 hours per week, including peak demand hours as determined by GM or district manager.
