This contract opportunity is based near Portland, MI, and centers on supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being across two elementary schools and a preschool classroom. You’ll serve approximately 40 students, working full-time hours onsite from late October through mid-May.

Key Qualifications:

• Active approval with the Michigan Department of Education as a School Social Worker
• Experience in school or clinical settings supporting children’s social and emotional needs
• Strong communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
• Ability to provide counseling, crisis intervention, and develop behavior plans

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver social work services tailored to the unique needs of students in elementary and preschool settings
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create supportive learning environments
• Conduct assessments and develop strategies for intervention and student support
• Participate in IEP/504 meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of services and student progress
