Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend as Needed

Join the team at a leading pediatric healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional care to children and their families. We are seeking a Patient Access Technician/Representative to support our Emergency Department and hospital registration operations.

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and families, helping create a positive experience while ensuring accurate registration, insurance verification, and patient documentation.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and families in a professional and compassionate manner
• Register patients and update demographic information
• Verify insurance eligibility and coverage
• Collect co-pays and obtain required patient consents
• Scan and maintain patient documentation and medical records
• Support hospital admissions and patient registration
• Accurately enter patient information into hospital systems
• Provide administrative support to multiple departments
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with hospital policies

Qualifications

• Previous experience in patient registration, admissions, healthcare administration, or customer service preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Experience with insurance verification and medical terminology is a plus
• Proficiency with computer systems and electronic health records preferred
• HS Diploma/GED required
