CHILDREN'S HABILITATION CENTERCHC is looking for a Long-Term Care Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are essential members of the healthcare team in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. They provide hands-on care and support to elderly or disabled residents who require long-term assistance with daily activities.Title: Team Assistant (TA) Certified Nursing AssistantCompany: Children's Habilitation CenterWebsite: Full Time or Part-Time, Non-ExemptReports to: Charge Nurse (RN) and Team Lead, LPNSupervisory Responsibilities: NoLocation: 121 W. 154th Street, Harvey, ILShift Options: Evening (3p - 11:30p) and Night (11p - 7:30a)Many opportunities for overtime; longer hours periodically based on organizational needsAlternating weekends are a mustPurpose: The Team Assistant will assist nursing personnel in the provision of basic care for residents and necessary tasks in compliance with Children's Habilitation Center (CHC) policies, procedures and applicable Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) regulations.Responsibilities:Provide Resident Personal care functions (bathing, skincare, grooming, oral hygiene, dressing & undressing)Assists in turning and positioning residentsConducts sensory stimulation programs, as delineated in the Individual Patient Plan (IPP) and Individual Education Plan (IEP)Assists with physical therapy programs, as dictated by the Physical TherapistCompletes resident active treatment and documents resultsUses proper transfer techniques when transferring residents per policy Demonstrates appropriate knowledge for the safe use of medical equipmentHelps keep residents' rooms and equipment clean and suppliedMake and change beds Transports residents, supplies, and equipment as neededRequired to have your booster shotAssists nurses and other personnel as neededAbide by the SEIU Collective Bargaining AgreementQualifications:Certified Nursing or Healthcare Assistant certification requiredAmerican Health Association approved CPR certificationGood standing on IDPH Health Care Worker RegistryAbility to pass a criminal background check, drug testing, TB Test, and Lift Test.Experience working with various socioeconomic populations is a plus.Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry a minimum of 50 lbs.Benefits: Union Sponsored Medical (Dental, Vision, Supplemental Life Insurance, Pension Plan, Tuition Reimbursement, Uniform Stipends, Short-Term Disability, 401-K Retirement Savings, and other benefit options.Children's Habilitation Center is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer and drug-free workplace.
