Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) registered nurse position in Newark, NJ. This role involves circulating on cardiac open heart cases, including coronary bypass graft surgeries, heart valves, and vascular procedures. The nurse will be responsible for assisting with general, vascular, and cardiac surgical cases, ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift with a minimum of 40 hours per week, starting from 10/05/2026 through 01/03/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; two years of recent experience in operating room settings with extensive experience in cardiac open heart cases; proficient in Epic electronic medical record system; experienced in general OR and vascular cases; able to circulate on heart cases, specifically CABG, heart valves, MVR, and AVR valves.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with oncall duties, including a minimum of one weekend per month, 24-hour oncall shifts, and night call (8-hour shifts).
• Additional Information: Oncall expectations include being available for a minimum of one or two nights per week, including weekends, with 24-hour oncall shifts and night call responsibilities. Candidates must be prepared to participate in oncall rotations as specified.
