Banquet Bartenders And Private Party Bartenders

Bay Area Event Staffing is hiring banquet bartenders and private party bartenders for events at numerous venues around the Bay Area. Our bartenders must be able to handle cash bars and host bars. Prepare mixed drinks, serve bottled or draft beer, pour wine or other beverages to guests of bar following standard recipes. Check identification of customers at the bar and ensure they meet the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcohol. Be friendly and attentive to guests, making them feel welcome at all times.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Read and understand all particulars of banquet bartending and party bartending, including start times and beverage requirements.
• After function, remove inventory and all beverage equipment to proper storage.
• Retrieve and store bar glassware to proper storage.
• Possess a wide range of drink recipes and be able to mix drinks accurately.
• Able to perform drink mixing quickly, and without waste.
• Observe guests quickly to respond to their needs and ensure total guest satisfaction.
• Serving all bar items in a friendly and timely manner.
• Follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication of guests.
• Follow all preferred pr handling of an intoxicated guest.
• Stock and prepare garnishes for drinks.
• Maintain an adequate supply of ice, glasses, and other bar supplies.
• Collect payment and operate register quickly and efficiently.
• Balance and secure all moneys at the end of shift.

Qualifications

Performance Requirements

• Must be dressed neatly and well groomed in clean, company approved uniform at all times.
• Must be able to operate cash register and make change correctly.
• Strength demands: Medium work. Includes exerting approx. 30 lbs several times per shift.
• Walking and standing during a 6-8 hour shift.
• Must be able to effectively card all guests who appear under the age of 30 for alcohol purchases.
• Adherence to State Law and Company alcoholic beverage policies.
• Adherence to all Company and Safety Policies and Procedures.

Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Full liquor bartending preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to pass bar training and validation process.
• Bartending school or 1 year similar experience preferred.
