Senior Software Test Engineer

DescriptionSAIC is hiring a Senior Software Tester to join the Army UAS Training Test team located in Huntsville, Alabama (Redstone Arsenal).This is a multi-disciplined team that covers a wide range of testing scopes, including testing physical and virtual network systems, software applications, and UAS control interfaces. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and switching gears supporting complex systems since this position will be working with multiple operating system types (Windows, Linux, etc.), networking architectures, and across multiple UAS platforms.Job Description:The qualified candidate will develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements. They will develop test plans, test schedule, and approach, and write test cases and scripts and identifies data for test scenarios. They will be expected to conduct a walk through on test case/script with Test Managers, Requirement Leads, Project Managers, and Development Leads, and perform and lead tests of software and/or IT systems to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. They will also perform verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures and criteria with an appropriate verification environment, and document and communicates test results.QualificationsRequired Education and Experience:Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience. Four (4) years relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree.Required Clearance:Must have an active Interim Secret Security Clearance; must be able to obtain a Secret Security ClearanceRequired Skills:5+ years of experience in software systems testing, software development, or software integration Must have experience testing a series of applications Ability to interact and work closely with the software development team to assist in acceptance criteria and test case review Experience working in a software development environmentMS Office productsDesired Skills:Familiarity with working in an Agile/SCRUM environment Experience developing, executing and reviewing automated testsExperience operating objective UAS systems (Gray Eagle and/or Shadow) and their trainers (Embedded Trainer—ET / Universal Mission Simulator—UMS)MS Azure experience This position requires US citizenship.Job Field: SoftwareTravel: Yes, 10 % of the Time
