#Eng-IT-01 Quality Engineer Glendale, AZ Qualifications BS in Engineering 2+ years of Qualityexperience in aerospace/automotive ASQ certification (preferred) Knowledge of quality inspection and quality assurance techniques, procedures, instruments, equipment, theories, principles and concepts Ability to use standard business applications software and/or specialized data analysis tools Six Sigma & Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus Knowledge of maintaining and improving QS9000 & TS16949 systems Effective communication and presentation skills Responsibilities Develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality standards for products and processes. Deviseand implementvarious methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, reliability and accuracy of products, processes and production equipment. Developand establishquality systems and procedures, inspection plans, quality performance trends, statistical plans, cost estimates and technical quality plans for proposals. Ensurethat project and/or process control documentation is compliant with requirements and/or contract. Assess the cost of products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications by performing statistical analyses. Identifyquality performance, trends and corrective action by coordinating with customers and suppliers. Ensurecompliance with specified quality requirements by performing in-house and supplier audits and surveys. Developand initiateprograms to improve supplier performance. Preparereports by collecting, interpreting, analyzing and summarizing data and making recommendations. Analyzeproposed changes in methods and materials. Participatein failure analysis and corrective action investigations. Refineand enhanceproducts and processes by applying continuous improvement and key lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques to critical areas of production. Representcompany by interfacing with customers, assisting with internal and external audits. May act as main contact in audit. Developand coordinatecorrective action procedures and plans. Educateteam on matters requiring specialized knowledge of quality functions - such as Production Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Process (APQP). #J-18808-Ljbffr
